PerkinElmer to Showcase New Flat Panel X-Ray Detectors at RSNA 2014

WHAT: PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced that it will showcase its new products XRpad™ 4343 F, XRD 4343RF and Dexela 2321 at the annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA 2014) exhibition in Chicago, USA.

PerkinElmer has deployed more than 35,000 X-ray detectors as X-ray system components for medical, dental, veterinary and industrial testing and brings over 20 years of experience collaborating with customers to integrate flat panel components for X-ray applications such as digital radiography and fluoroscopy.

XRpad® 4336: This wireless, portable detector is designed for digital radiography applications and features a 100 μm pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, Automatic Exposure Detection (AED), and exceptional image quality.

XRpad® 4343 F: This wired cassette-sized detector is designed for digital radiography and features a 100 μm pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, Automatic Exposure Detection (AED), and exceptional image quality.

PerkinElmer will also be previewing new flat panel dynamic detector s for mobile C-arm and radiography and fluoroscopy (R&F) systems:

Dexela™ 2321 (in development): State-of-the-art 23 cm x 21 cm real-time X-ray detector design for use as a component in mobile C-arm and other fluoroscopy systems. This detector has CsI scintillator and exceptional low dose DQE. It will employ advanced, low noise CMOS image sensor technology.

XRD4343RF (in development): This 43cm x 43cm detector is intended for use as a component in radiography and fluoroscopy systems. The design will enable enhanced performance providing outstanding X-ray imaging for both fluoroscopy and radiography applications.
