X-ray Detectors Support Digital Radiography and Fluoroscopy Applications

WHAT: PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced that it will showcase its Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) and CMOS flat panel X-ray detectors at RSNA 2015. The 101st annual Scientific Assembly & Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America will host more than 50,000 attendees from around the world.

PerkinElmer has deployed more than 40,000 X-ray detectors as X-ray system components for medical, dental, veterinary and industrial testing. The Company brings over 20 years of experience in medical imaging and collaborates with customers to integrate flat panel components for X-ray applications such as digital radiography and fluoroscopy.

"We are pleased to highlight our comprehensive portfolio of advanced X-ray imaging technologies for medical equipment manufacturers and healthcare providers at this international forum for radiology professionals," said Brian Giambattista, President, Medical Imaging for PerkinElmer. "PerkinElmer offers industry leading solutions that our customers can easily integrate into their systems for superior image quality, reduced radiation dose and controlled costs."
WHEN: November 29-December 4, 2015
WHERE: McCormick Place, Chicago, South Hall A, Booth #2968
AT RSNA 2015: Please visit PerkinElmer's booth to learn more about its new flat panel dynamic detectors for mobile C-arm and radiography and fluoroscopy systems:
XRD4343RF (to begin shipping in 2016): a 43cm x 43cm detector intended for use as a component in radiography, fluoroscopy, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems. Its design enables enhanced performance, providing outstanding X-ray imaging for a wide range of applications. The detector offers frame rates up to 50 fps and has a direct-deposited CsI scintillator for superior image quality.

Dexela® 2321 (to begin shipping in 2016): a state-of-the-art 23 cm x 21 cm real-time X-ray detector designed for use as a component in mobile C-arm and other fluoroscopy systems. This detector has a CsI scintillator and exceptional low dose DQE. It employs advanced, low noise CMOS image sensor technology for high speed real-time imaging within demanding surgical applications.

In addition, PerkinElmer will display its comprehensive family of lightweight XRpad® wired and wireless, lightweight, cassette-sized flat panel detectors:
XRpad® 4336: a wireless, portable detector for digital radiography applications, featuring a 100 ?m pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, Automatic Exposure Detection (AED), and exceptional image quality.

XRpad® 4343 F: a wired cassette-sized detector for digital radiography, featuring a 100 ?m pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, Automatic Exposure Detection (AED), and exceptional image quality.

XRpad2™ 3025 (in development): PerkinElmer's second-generation wireless, lightweight cassette-sized detector for digital radiography, with a 30 cm x 25 cm (12" x 10") imaging area.
