SHANGHAI, China and WALTHAM, Massachusetts - PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced the global expansion of its new technical support and services team in Shanghai. The Company now has a dedicated team of scientists in the Asia-Pacific region that will provide technical assistance in both English and Mandarin for PerkinElmer's drug discovery research customers in the region.

PerkinElmer has made a strategic commitment to its customers in Greater China by providing technical support to foster research and development efforts within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and academic research industries in the region. Now customers will have direct access to the Company’s expertise and deep understanding of our core technologies in a variety of languages and time zones. This newly established local team is part of PerkinElmer’s global support network powered by centers of excellence in the U.S. and Europe, providing near 24-hour technical coverage throughout the work week.
